Terri Verason is a registered dietitian and spokesperson for the National Dairy Council. With more than four years experience in front of the camera and reporters, Terri has completed numerous print, TV and radio interviews on a variety of nutrition topics such as children's health and nutrition, osteoporosis, fad diets, winning the weight-loss wars and the importance of a balanced diet.
As a mother of teenagers, Terri understands the concerns many parents have regarding nutrition and health; she is able to address these concerns as a nutrition expert and as a parent. As a registered dietitian, Terri believes strongly in communicating nutrition and health messages to the public. She keeps current on new nutrition research and developments and has a knack for explaining this complex information in simple, memorable ways. Throughout her career, she has been active in various state and regional dietetic associations as well as an avid volunteer for community health and hunger organizations. In addition to her current role with the Dairy Council, Terri also serves as State Media Representative for the Arizona Dietetic Association and a board member for the Arizona Osteoporosis Coalition. Her goal is to provide the community, health professionals, educators and the media with a balanced view of current nutrition issues grounded in sound scientific information.
