Lana Frantzen, Ph.D.

Lana Frantzen is part of the Dairy Health & Wellness Team with the National Dairy Council and director of nutrition communications with Dairy MAX.
She earned her Ph.D. in nutrition from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. She received her Master of Science degree in nutrition from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Texas in Austin. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Texas Dietetic Association, and LAHIDAN (Latinos & Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition). She also is a member of the American Society for Nutrition.
Lana previously worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and the Social and Health Research Center in San Antonio. She specialized in pediatric and maternal nutrition as well as cultural health issues.
Lana has worked with the dairy industry for the past ten years. As part of the Dairy MAX team, she serves as a media spokesperson in several Texas markets. Lana has completed numerous television, radio, and print interviews. She is also responsible for developing and implementing bilingual nutrition education programs for educators, health professionals, and consumer leaders in Texas. Lana enjoys taking constantly evolving, complex nutrition research and transforming it into easy-to-understand, practical tips that people can utilize to make their lives healthy and well-balanced.
Teresa Wagner, M.S., R.D., L.D.
Dairy MAX, Inc.
Teresa Wagner is a registered, licensed dietitian and spokesperson for National Dairy Council. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, as well as the Texas Dietetic Association. Teresa is also a member of the Dallas Dietetic Association and immediate past chair of the Nutrition Education for Children Division of the Society for Nutrition Education. Additionally, she is certified in childhood and adolescent weight management by the American Dietetic Association. Currently, she is on the steering committee of the Professional Athletes Council providing nutrition expertise for this volunteer council of athletes working to combat childhood obesity throughout the country. Teresa recently co-chaired the Communications Division of the Society for Nutrition Education.
As part of the Dairy MAX staff, she is responsible for developing and implementing nutrition education programs for educators, health professionals and consumer leaders in Texas. Teresa is responsible for reputation/crisis management communications for the Dairy Max region staff, producers and scientific advisory board.
As a supervisor, Teresa oversees health professional outreach efforts in conjunction with her program coordinators in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Teresa has been involved in many community and charitable initiatives throughout the region.
