Debra French is the Executive Director for the Washington State Dairy Council and the Director of Nutrition Marketing and Education for the Washington Dairy Products Commission. She is responsible for strategic planning, material development and marketing and nutrition program implementation, specifically, Fuel Up Play 60 for Washington and Alaska.
With over 30 years of nutrition education experience, Debra French believes strongly in communicating the importance and value of nutrition and an active lifestyle with the public and with educators.
Martha Marino, M.A., R.D., C.D.

Martha Marino is a Registered Dietitian and directs all of the Health & Wellness activities for the Washington State Dairy Council. She is responsible for the development and execution of programs for health professionals, culinary professionals, and consumer opinion leaders in Washington and Alaska. She has created dozens of educational materials and programs in her 30+ years as a nutrition educator.
Martha enjoys speaking about family meals, lactose intolerance, Dietary Guidelines, local foods, and the valuable role of dairy foods in a healthful diet. She believes that good food can taste great! Martha has been interviewed on radio, print, and TV, and has helped many health and culinary professionals prepare for their interviews. Cheese is one of her favorite foods, and she is a valuable resource on food preparation with cheese, yogurt, and milk.
Martha received her BS in Foods and Nutrition from Oregon State University and her MA in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Washington, and over the years has held many leadership roles in dietetic and culinary associations. Her work experience as a nutrition educator includes the WIC Nutrition Program, Food Stamps Program, university teaching, Beef Commission, and 5 A Day / More Matters (fruits and vegetables).
