New Emeril Live! Show Salutes America’s Dairy Farmers
Rosemont, Ill., January 12, 2004 – World-renowned chef Emeril Lagasse kicks it up a notch with dairy in an upcoming episode of Food Network’s cooking program, Emeril Live! Emeril brings his distinctive style to recipes featuring American-made dairy products in a salute to “America's Dairy Farmers,” scheduled to air on Food Network on Friday, January 16 (8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT).
Four dairy farmers from across the United States – Bill Ahlem (Hilmar, Calif.), Grant Kohler (Midway, Utah), Rita Kennedy (Valencia, Penn.) and Donna Sharp (Bath, S.D.) – will be guests in Emeril’s kitchen. “It was an honor to represent America’s dairy farmers on the Emeril Live! program,” said Mr. Ahlem. “Emeril understands what it takes to produce the highest quality dairy products in the world, and that sort of recognition should make every dairy farmer in this country proud.”
The menu for the show includes a delicious fondue made with Monterey Jack cheese, yogurt-marinated swordfish with a yogurt sauce and an old-fashioned butterscotch pudding.
“Emeril has always been supportive of America’s dairy farmers and dedicating an entire show to American-made dairy products is a testament to his commitment,” said Tom Gallagher, chief executive officer, Dairy Management Inc. “From gourmet cheeses to a simple glass of milk, Emeril recognizes the nutritious, great-tasting contributions dairy farmers make to the American diet.”
