Mary Martin Nordness is a registered dietitian, certified health educator and serves as Nutrition Communications Director for the Southeast Dairy Association. Prior to coming to work for the Dairy Association, Mary Martin had extensive experience as a medical nutrition therapist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While serving as Community Wellness Coordinator, Mary Martin appeared in numerous media segments, planned health education programs and conducted health screenings over much of south Louisiana.
Mary Martin received her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned a Master of Arts degree in kinesiology and health sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association’s Nutrition Entrepreneurs and the North Alabama district dietetic association.
At the Dairy Association, Mary Martin serves as regional media representative and conducts television, radio and print interviews throughout the state.
