Debra French, R.D. Washington Dairy Products Commission
Debra French is the Dairy Nutrition and Marketing Manager for the Washington Dairy Products Commission where she is responsible for the development and implementation of dairy nutrition and promotion programs.
In her previous role as Director of Nutrition Education for the Washington State Dairy Council, Debra authored numerous nutrition education programs and curricula as well as consulted on many others. She has created over 30 printed consumer resources, written articles for various publications including "Forecast Magazine" and has conducted radio and TV interviews on nutrition-related topics such as healthy eating for your heart, nutrition tips for athletes, winning the weight loss battle and how to feed picky eaters.
A registered dietitian, Debra French believes strongly in communicating the importance and value of nutrition and an active lifestyle with the public. Throughout her career, she has been a member of various state and national nutrition and education associations, and received the "Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year" award from the Washington State Dietetic Association.
Martha Marino, M.A., R.D., C.D. Washington State Dairy Council
Martha Marino is a registered dietitian and serves as Food and Health Program Director for the Washington State Dairy Council and Washington Dairy Products Commission. She is responsible for the development and execution of programs for health professionals, culinary professionals and consumer opinion leaders in Washington and Alaska.
Martha received her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition from Oregon State University and her Master of Arts in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Washington. In her 26-year career as a nutrition educator, she has actively promoted good taste and science-based nutrition through her jobs with 5 A Day, Beef Commission, Food Stamps Program, WIC and universities. She is active in Food and Culinary Professionals of the American Dietetic Association and has served on the board of the Washington State Dietetic Association, including media spokesperson and communications director. Martha has completed many print, radio and television interviews on a variety of nutrition topics.
