Isabel Maples, M.Ed., R.D. Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association
Isabel Maples is a nutrition communicator for the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association where she is responsible for food and health related communications in Maryland and the Washington, DC area.
In her current role, Isabel translates nutrition research and technical jargon into everyday language that consumers can digest. She has completed more than 75 print, radio and TV interviews on nutrition-related topics that help consumers decide, "What's for dinner tonight?"
As a registered dietitian, Isabel is committed to guiding consumers past the confusion of dietary restrictions, leaving consumers instead with nutrition news they can use…and with making food fun again. Isabel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a dietetic internship in Colorado Springs and later earned a Masters of Education degree in Sports Nutrition and Wellness from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Throughout her career, she has been a member of various state and regional dietetic associations as well as the American Dietetic Association.
