Mickela Mitchell is a registered dietitian with the Southeast Dairy Association. Mickela has a professional background in school food service management and nutrition education.

Mickela received a Bachelor of Science degree in food, nutrition, and food service management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Master of Science degree in human nutrition at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Currently, Mickela serves as Membership Chair on the Executive Board of the School Nutrition Association of South Carolina.

At the Dairy Association Mickela is responsible for implementing nutrition programs for schools, health professionals, and key leaders within the state. She serves as a regional media communicator and is scheduled to appear on television and radio outlets throughout South Carolina.
