Dawn Conrad, R.D., L.N.
Midwest Dairy Association
Dawn Conrad is a Nutrition Marketing and Consumer Communications Manager with the Midwest Dairy Council, where she is responsible for promoting, marketing, implementing and evaluating programs that promote healthy lifestyles, and for conducting TV, radio and print media interviews in South Dakota. She presents nutrition information in a very understandable way, including tips that make it easy for consumers or schools to implement positive changes.
As a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist, Dawn has more than 13 years of experience in the nutrition and health field, including clinical nutrition, community health education, teaching at the university level and private consultation.
Dawn has conducted numerous nutrition presentations to health professionals, educators, school food service personnel and community organizations. She has also written articles published by the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service, South Dakota Dietetic Association, South Dakota Child and Adult Nutrition Services Department, and is a regularly featured columnist for the Garretson, SD weekly newspaper.
Dawn is active in the South Dakota Dietetic Association, South Dakota Action For Healthy Kids state team and the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations.
