Erin Coffield, R.D., L.D.N.
New England Dairy & Food Council
Erin Coffield, R.D., L.D.N. is the Director of Communication for New England Dairy & Food Council (NEDFC) and New England Dairy Promotion Board (NEDPB). Coffield acts as a Boston media market spokesperson on all dairy communication for proactive and responsive media stories.
Prior to this role, Coffield was a Nutrition and Communication Specialist for NEDFC/NEDPB. She acted as Massachusetts Action for Healthy Kids State Team Liaison. Coffield was a chief member of NEDFC's Health Professional Team where she managed the staff media outreach efforts and served on the national News Bureau Editorial staff for National Dairy Council, where she was responsible for communicating breaking news and research to local media outlets as well as health organizations such as Children's Hospital, Joslin Diabetes Center, Massachusetts Dietetic Association and Massachusetts Academy of Pediatrics.
Coffield has served as a contributing nutritionist and/or participated in media interviews for several media outlets including many local television and radio networks as well as local newspaper publications and national online publications. As a registered dietitian, Coffield believes strongly in communicating nutrition and health messages based on sound scientific information. Throughout her career, she has been an active member of the Massachusetts Dietetic Association and the American Dietetic Association.
