Mary Martin Nordness is a registered and licensed dietitian and spokesperson for the National Dairy Council (NDC). In her role as nutrition communications director for the Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, Nordness has served as an expert media source to many broadcast and print journalists. Nordness has developed a passion for helping busy Alabama moms find easy meal solutions and shares her tips via on-camera and in-print interviews.
Before joining the NDC, Nordness had extensive experience as a medical nutrition therapist in Baton Rouge, La. While serving as community wellness coordinator, Nordness appeared in numerous television media segments.
Nordness received her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. She completed her dietetic internship at University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned a Master of Arts degree in kinesiology and health sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. She is a certified health education specialist, an active member of the American Dietetic Association’s Nutrition Entrepreneurs and the North Alabama district dietetic association.
Nordness and her husband, David have four daughters and enjoy traveling and taking long walks together.
