Teresa Wagner is a registered, licensed dietitian and a spokesperson for the National Dairy Council (NDC). She is currently responsible for developing and implementing nutrition education programs for educators, health professionals and consumers who attend nutrition events and participate in various promotions throughout Texas. As an expert nutrition source for media in several Southern markets, Wagner has participated in many television, radio and newspaper interviews and has shared her food selection and cooking tips with thousands of people.
Previously, Wagner specialized in pediatric and neonatal nutrition in both hospital and community settings and managed her own consulting business serving clients in diabetes management, fitness, computerized diet office systems and education. She also taught at the community college and university levels for 10 years.
Wagner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Texas Christian University and a Master of Science degree in nutrition from Texas Women’s University. She is currently a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Dallas Dietetic Association and is the public relations co-chair of the Texas Dietetic Association. She has been involved in many community and charitable initiatives throughout the region she serves. Currently, she is on the steering committee of the Professional Athletes Council providing nutrition expertise for this volunteer council of athletes working to combat childhood obesity throughout the country.
She is the mother of two girls and in her spare time enjoys running, playing softball and watching her daughters participate in sports.
