Fuel Up to Play 60 School Wellness
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and National Football League, in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The program encourages youth to consume nutrient-rich foods (low-fat and fat-free dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains) and achieve 60 minutes of physical activity every day.     • Captured at the recent School Nutrition Association annual meeting in Dallas, this video clip highlights National Dairy Council’s discussion with The Food Channel about child nutrition and Fuel Up to Play 60. Visit the new FuelUptoPlay60.com to access more information about this youth-led, in-school nutrition and physical activity program, and learn how to get involved.
    • Access the July/August issue of Dairy Council Digest for answers surrounding the most common lactose intolerance questions. This issue presents some of the conclusions of the National Institutes of Health expert panel on lactose intolerance and health, as well as recent research and statements on lactose intolerance by health professional organizations.
