Understanding the Fruit Group

Fruits in the Fruit Group include fresh fruits, of course, but also canned, frozen or dried fruits, as well as 100 percent fruit juice.

These foods play an important role providing potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C and folate (folic acid) to your diet.

From serving sizes and nutrients per serving, National Dairy Council can help explain the fruit food group with our online food models.
