Understanding the Grain Group (Food Models)

Foods in the Grain Group include bread, pasta, oatmeal and others that are made from wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley or another cereal grain.

These foods play an important role providing dietary fiber, B vitamins and minerals like iron to your diet.

From serving sizes and nutrients per serving, National Dairy Council can help explain the grain food group with our online food models.
